We are seeking ambitious, forward thinking communications practitioners to join as members (also known as Freemen) and support the Company’s ambition of achieving full Livery status by 2020.
Our purpose is to promote the communications profession within the City of London; contribute to society through charitable giving and work; promote education and learning in public relations; and support public relations practitioners through friendship and fellowship.
The Company of PR Practitioners hosts an annual programme of events including formal dinners in the City, informal educational and networking events as well as an annual Christmas carol concert. In addition Freemen of the Company participate within the City of London community.
Members join the Company for many reasons: some for the high-level networking, some for the events; every member gets the opportunity for closer involvement in the City of London and the chance to give something back on behalf of their profession.
The Company of PR was founded as a Guild in 2000, being awarded Company status by the City of London’s Aldermen in 2015. We have set an ambitious target to double the size of our charitable funds to £300,000 and achieve full Livery status by 2020.
Membership costs £200 per year plus an optional donation of £100 to the Charitable Trust.
