Carol Service & Dinner: 20.Dec.2016

Tuesday 20 December 2016

Carol Service 6:00pm to 7:15pm, Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, London EC1A 9DS

Dinner, 7:30pm, Haberdashers’ Hall, 18 West Smithfield, London EC1A 9HQ

It is traditional for members of the Company to join with other Livery Companies for a Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great, London’s oldest surviving church. Founded in 1123 as an Augustinian Priory, it has been in continuous use since 1143.

You are warmly invited to join us again this year on Tuesday 20th December 2016 at 6:00pm. Liverymen, Freemen, Companions and families and friends are more than welcome although in order to assist with seating at this very popular event it is important you notify the Clerk with the number of places required. The Church will be especially crowded this year as it will be the last Service to which the Rev. Dr Martin Dudley officiates before he leaves the Parish to take up writing.

The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers invites PR Company members and their guests to a splendid dinner after the service at the nearby Haberdashers’ Hall, where we will join members of the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers, Builders Merchants, Butchers, and Woolmens’ Companies, the Guild of Human Resource Professionals and Farringdon Ward Club for a festive supper with wines.

For those of you who have not been to this Hall before it is a relatively modern building but constructed in the medieval style. Seating will be arranged in informal groups so members can continue the conviviality whilst at the same time making friends in other Companies. As always the Master hopes that as many members of the Company will be able to support the occasion. Places are however limited so early booking is advised. The Carol Service is free to attend, the dinner is £70.00 (inclusive of VAT), a price we believe represents very good value for a function in a Livery Hall.

Space at this event is limited so you are urged to book early to secure your places and in any event by the deadline of Monday 12th December.

To attend the Carol Service and or the Dinner please email our Clerk,
